@OP I’ve twice measured mandibular canines at 30 mm on CBCT, but the practical move is to trace the canal’s centerline and subtract 0.5–1 mm for the distal “apex hook” when setting WL. That small adjustment lets me keep the vertical release conservative over the canine eminence.
