Enhancing Communication with Young Patients

I’ve been exploring new ways to make our dental visits more reassuring for kids, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on effective communication techniques… Recently, I started using storybooks with fun dental themes during appointments, and it seems to put them at ease. What strategies have you found successful in your practice?

Using storybooks is a great idea! I’ve found that incorporating puppet shows during visits can really engage younger patients and help ease their anxieties. Do you think kids might respond well to an interactive demo, like showing them how a toothbrush ‘battles’ sugar bugs?
